Money: Cash points in most of the villages. Visa cards and MasterCard are accepted everywhere. Diners Club and American Express are used mainly in hotels. The Mauritian rupees cannot be exchanged in any other countries.

Climate: The hottest and rainiest season is from November to April. Dry season is from June to September. It is recommended to bring a cloth with long sleeves, a jacket or sweater for the chilled evenings and cold places, a rain coat and an umbrella.
